Big-Boy Walker

I've been trying to get a video of Jack walking all week! After several tries last night, i finally got this one. It's not the best, and he's certainly walked further than this- but it's still pretty cute!

13 months

Jack- you turned 13 months on Monday and I forgot to document it. SORRY!

Things you're doing now:
- you point to our nose or yours and say "nooooose"
- you point to a ball and say "ba!"

- when you see a dog you say "Doh, ooh, ooh" {like a dog barking sound}

You still refuse to walk on your own, even though we know you can. You're standing more on your own and you're trying to crawl up onto everything!! Everyone wherever we go stop to look at you still b/c of your big eyes and sweet smile. We love you monkey!!

a few new things...

As Jack's First Birthday approaches- he seems to be doing new things every day! And since I haven't been good about his baby book (meaning I don't think I've entered anything in it!) I figured I better get on here and write this down!

A few new things:

• if we ask you what a monkey says you will now make a monkey noise
• if we ask you what a lion says- you have the cutest ROAR! 
• you love to grab your Mah-Mah's hair with both hands and pull her face in for a kiss- mouth open wide! 
• and yesterday when I got home- you pulled yourself up on a dining room chair- let go and took 3 steps to get to me!! Seriously the best feeling in the WHOLE WORLD. then you wrapped your arms around me and snuggled in.

11 months

Jack James is 11 months old today. wow. Great new things that he's started doing (most of which I've already posted on here).

- You're talking so much now! Your words include: momma, da-da, mah-mah, and uh-oh!
 I'm pretty sure you have your own word for Luke and when you see a dog- but nothing definitive just yet. If we ask you where Luke is- you do point to him. AND you baby chatter all the time!

- You're showing some attitude. If you're not getting your way- you let us know!

- Signing. You sign for "all done" and "more"

- Hugs. You hug. You snuggle. You touch foreheads with whoever you love that's holding you and go in for a kiss. It's precious.

- Walking. You're almost there. In fact- I'm pretty sure just this morning you took two steps on your own from me to the couch where your brother was. You also love to walk using the back this little riding toy (see video).

I seriously don't remember life without you. Love you so much my Monkey-Man!
