T&T Visit

Yesterday I got my girls back!

Loooong ago when Taylie was born, I was in college. For a brief few months my cousin Shannon and I lived in the same city and just minutes from each other. She had just had the most beautiful baby girl ever and when she had to run errands- I got to snuggle and watch the munchkin. BEST EVER. Then a few years ago, Shannon lived around the corner with her now TWO lovely ladies and they would watch Luke for me while I worked. Luke actually started CRAWLING one day Shan was watching him! Then they moved. :( and every summer they come back out here, but it wasn't until THIS summer that Nana and I finally were able to snag them for the day. I seriously can't get over how TALL they both were. And polite. And helpful. And funny. And sweet!! The day went too fast, and even tho we didn't do anything fancy, it was fun to just all be together. They had never met Jack and the last time they saw Luke he was Jack's age! They were best friends within 5 minutes, which was awesome. I miss them both so much already!! Here's a few cute photos I took of our trip down to the river. LOVE YOU T&T!

Last Day at the Pool and Park

Again behind on posts!! ack! Last Saturday was the last pool day of the summer at grammies. All 4 of the granbabies went in and had an awesome time. I, of course, had NO PHOTOS of the event b/c I was in the pool the whole time catching kids jumping in. It's amazing how fast they grow in a year. Last year at this time, I could barely get Luke to jump in and Addy was just beginning to swim well. Now Luke is swimming and jumping in with no abandon and Addy is doing handstands in the pool! Even Grace was enjoying herself! It also took us all summer- but we finally got jack to go in the pool to his waste and splash around!

After the pool we all dried off and went to the park. The kids had a blast and I know my 2 slept great that night! Here's photos of that!

My darling brother and fab sister-in-law went out to dinner tonight to celebrate their anniversary! Happy Anniversary J&M! While they were away- the kids and I played. Here's a few cute photos from our evening.

Week 5

Sorry I'm a day late in this post! I try to post every wednesday- but I don't always get a moment to do so. I was looking at the calendar and realized that I really only have 5 weeks of maternity leave left. I'm halfway thru! I hope by the time I go back Jack has more of a schedule! He has been giving me one 4 hour stretch at night to sleep (well sometimes only 3 and half) but then after that he's up every hour and a half- so I'm not sure it really helps! Contemplating moving him to his room down the hall- to see if I sleep better since he grunts so much in his sleep. I haven't tried it yet b/c 1- it's all the way down the hall from my room and walking down there to nurse him seems really. far. away. And let's face it- at 3am- I'm half-dead. 2- it's in the same room as Luke. Not that Luke seems to mind- he's been in my bed plenty of times when Jack has woke up crying and hungry- and he's slept right thru it. I'm more nervous that Luke would try to climb in with Jack in the middle of the night or something crazy like that. But I guess that's what the baby monitor is for. Maybe when he's 6 weeks I'll try it. Like that's so far away! HA!

So this past week- we've spent some time out at Grammie's Pool- and I'm SUPER excited they extended the closing date of her pool. They usually close it after Labor Day weekend- but we have until NEXT weekend to enjoy it. Super nice of her Condo Place- especially since we're JUST NOW getting summer! We also have spent some quality time with my nieces and sister-in-law. Love having this time to hang out with all of them together. But most exciting around these parts- PRESCHOOL. Luke had what I call "preschool round-up" on wednesday. He got to meet Teacher Kellie and see where he'll be going 3 days a week starting next week. I think he's getting excited!
