last week of preschool

I can't hardly believe that it's the last week of school for Luke. He's come SOOO far. He writes his name, he knows his days of the week, he can count to 30, and so much more. It's been so good for him. I hope we can have lots of playdates with his new friends this summer.
my big kid!

Today was also my last day to work in his classroom too. Usually my Mom watches Jack while I work, or Maris (my sister-in-law) watches him while Mom or I work. Mom is on her way home from Germany and Grace got sick- so Jack got to come with me today. I brought in the stroller so he'd have somewhere to sit (aka- i'd have somewhere to trap him!!). He did sooo good.
watching the kids play

I think it helped that he had 16 kids that were running around him to keep him entertained. There was lots of great "people-watching" for him. I did let him down to play with the other kids during free play. They were all gentle and so sweet with him.
taking over the carpet!

And at the end, he started to get tired. Hence this photo:

He crashed in the car before we even pulled away from the curb...

Mother's Day

I was doubly blessed this mother's day. Not only was it my birthday- but I am blessed to have two of the cutest, sweetest boys in the whole wide world. They challenge me every day to be a better person and momma (and my patience). They make my world go round.

9 month checkup!

I took Jack to the doctor friday for his 9 month checkup and BOY has that guy grown! He literally grew 3 inches since is 6 month checkup in Feb. 3 INCHES! And they also make you do a little checklist to see how they're developing and I could confidently mark yes on all of them.

9 months

Here's a list of a few things Jack does at 9 mo:
- crawls on all 4s like a crazy
- pulls himself up on everything
- can lower himself down from standing
- waves hi and bye
- will stand all alone for a few seconds
- can point to my nose if I ask him where it is
- ask him where the light is and he'll point up (seriously the cutest thing ever)
- will give you a kiss (especially if you're mah-mah)
- AND SO MUCH MORE...

crashed after shots. poor guy.

PS: We always talk about how he's waaay chubbier that Luke was at this age- but surprisingly he's not. Luke and Jack were exactly the same size at 9 months. Luke was 30 1/4 inches tall and weighed 20 lbs, 14 oz. Jack was 30 inches tall and weighs 20lbs, 12 oz. I think that Jack is just shorter legs, longer body and Luke has always had really looong legs.

9 months!

Jack is officially 9 months old today! (also happy half birthday to my amazing and wonderful momma!). Jack has 6 teeth now (4 on top and 2 on bottom) and as of yesterday is officially crawling on all 4's. Time to really baby-proof the house now!!

spring concert

I meant to post this last weekend- but forgot. Here's a quick little video of Grace and Luke during their spring concert last weekend.

Singers

What I didn't get on here was Luke crying for my mom shortly after this song. See, she came in after they were already seated and he could see her across the church. He loves my mom sooooo much and desperately wants to be with her all the time. So he saw her and wanted her- but he had to go up and sing. So he sings like two songs and whispers/cries loudly "teacher kellie! i really miss my Mah-Mah [that's my mom]. can i go sit with her?" Sigh.

Teacher Kellie handled him beautifully by reminding him that they only had 2 more short songs to sing and then he could be with her. He did finish and then made a BEELINE for her where he happily snuggled in next to her for the remainder of the show.
